Walthers/P2K SW8/900 won't stop!

Hi,
My SW8 either will not stop or is taking a very long time to decelerate.
Decoder - stock QSI model ho187, firmware version 06, build date 11/05/2009.

CVs 3, 4, 23 and 24 all set to (and read back) 0.

I admit, I don't know what's going on. Any tips would be appreciated.

JMRI Identifies decoder as QSI diesel Version 7, model P2k SW9/1200
LocoBuffer-USB
Digitrax DCS100 (Chief)

Since you have it saved on Decoder Pro you might consider resetting the decoder.
I think the reset procedure for QSI is still the same
Set CV49 to 128
Set CV50 to 255
Set CV56 to 113
If that doesn't work verify no other controllers are dialed into the loco's address.

I would second the thought of another throttle that you had the loco dialed into then forgot about it.

Thanks for the responses. I did not have the loco on another throttle, but good idea.
I had to reset the decoder using the magnet. Seems to me I've had to do that on another loco with a factory-installed QSI decoder, too. (Intermountain FP9A)

It 'seemed' as if no other locos would respond while the SW8 was on the rails, but I didn't debug this extensively.

Thanks again for the help. I reset it, changed the address and disabled DC control and left it at that for now.
