I have several walthers autoracks that have the yellow plate/cover to hold the swinging piece inplace. On the cars themselves there are 2 tabs that hold that plate/cover inplace besides the screw. Those tabs broke and the cover/plate will not stay in place and the couplers will swing loose and come out.
What are my options to fix this issue?
trim it back, glue in new styrene tabs to hold the plate in place. repaint it all. i've done several cars that way.
I'll have to try it that way, was also thinking about the walthers swinging coupler for athearn's 89' flat cars.
