Well, I didn't a stop light a signal or a parking meter, but a buddy of mine somehow got a hold of a 6 volt red rotating light like the ones on cop cars. Now I have to tell you that I grew up on the beach and three of us went together and paid $75 for a VW bug that had slid sideways and ate a power pole. We took the fenders and doors of of it and we could do any sand dune around with with just the stock tires. We did go through a lot of clutches. We could change one out in 45 minutes.
Well there are a lot of the sand dunes where I grew up, and the high school kids, of which I was one, would have parties out there. Maybe even burnt some funny stuff.
Did I happened to mention that the VW had a six volt system?
Well we slapped that sucker on the roof and came flying over the top of the dunes with the red lights flashing and filling all the dark corners. People dove into the brush and scrambled over the hills and ran every which way. Got a few free beers that night I tell you.
