Just wondering, do they make/have anything like this out there?
To clarify what I'm talking about roughly 5 times a day at work there is a Ford F-250 superduty riding the tracks. I don't go to hobby shops or anything cause they are too far from the house, so I haven't seen any.
I think Custom Finishing or Alloy Forms had them in HO scale, i dont know if there still available, but i seem to remember a pick-up and a bobtail service truck
Bachmann makes a powered Hy-Rail truck although it looks like an older model of ford or something. I guess if you were creative enough though you might be able to kitbash the Riverpointstation F-250 onto the powered Bachmann chassis.
All the ones that I bought in the past were way oversize for HO scale. I did take the running gear out of 1 of the pickups & put it under a cargo van from Matchbox.
I am in the middle of building a powered version of the Custom Finishings Sperry Rail Truck kit using a North West Shortline Motor and wheels. I have to make a motor mount and get everything set up for a dcc Decoder and lights too.
Hopefully once its done it will look something like this but with operating lights.
A friend of mine built this one, don't believe it's powered. I bought one a long time ago looks like a jeep station wagon, it's powered but much too large for HO
Cheers
