This photo is with an 8-foot long backdrop I painted made that I can hang from the ceiling for a backdrop just about anywhere in the layout room.

On another forum I frequent, it is traditional to say "you suck" when someone snags a really good bargain. So all I can say to someone with enough talent to paint that kind of background is:
You suck!

Wow Charles , that backdrop blends in seamlessly with the layout , beautiful .
Darn Charles, I honestly can't tell where the layout ends and the backdrop starts!
That looks great! I'd love to see some more pictures of how your hanging backdrop works.

I hope to have a little more time for that. It's been busy with a new DVD release - "ESPEE Hall of Fame".

The hardest part was making the shadows project toward the left on such a long painting that is more like a mural. Most paintings are shadow-right and your hands occupy that space from training. So I had to fight that urge every day I worked on it. I has bunches of detail like tiny farms, crop fields, roads and a distant village plus browsing cattle. But I had to make this thing work with the ambient lighting in the layout.
