Hi guys,

Im wondering what brand of switch machines you guys use for the Walthers Code 83 Curved Turnouts and 3-Way Turnouts?

I need them to be powered because they will be just out of reach, otherwise I would just use Caboose Industries Ground Throws.

Does Caboose Industries make powered ground throws or?

Thanks in advance,

No, Caboose Industries does not make powered switch machines. I think the most versatile and reliable switch machine is still the Tortoise. Another, less expensive contender is from (dare I say it), Micromark, with their Switch Tender. It is not as versatile as the Tortoise in terms of mounting options and electrical features but it works fine if you have a sturdy surface to mount it to and only need a switch motor, not the option to add additonal things like position indicators.

Jim, thanks for the reply :D

I think I will be going with the Tortoise Switch Machines for the ones that need to be powered.
