I was in the process of installing a tsunami decoder with speaker in my NYSW tunnel motor. But there is a snag, the speaker will only fit under the DB housing or near the cab. I've sanded down the sides of the speaker box as much as possible but still need's to be thinner. I want to put the speaker up against the top of the shell in the rear pointing down for the sound to come out the instake grills.
Has anyone run into this issue?
I would say get a smaller speaker or time to sand the box around the speaker down. I am not sure what size speaker your trying to fit into the unit. Got any pics?
here is a quick pic.
This speaker is the same i've used and the same that was put in my 90mac last fall. I might be able to file it down some more, but anymore and it will probably seperate into 2 pieces.
I am not sure how thick the box is around the speaker so its hard to say but it doesnt look like there is much to remove to get it to fit.
wish i had a belt sander or something to make it go quicker.
