sound for an Atlas GP7

I have two Atlas GP7 that are DCC ready. I installed a Digitrax decoder and all was well. Now I want sound, any suggestions on what decoder to switch to? What about mounting the speaker?

It can be done but like any narrow hood type engine GP-7, RS-3,SW-2 that are not designed from the factory for sound, will be a lot of work. I did one, an Atlas GP-40. For all the work I did there wasn't enough volume that I would want to try it again.

I tend to agree with George. I have an Atlas GP-9 I did myself with a QSI adapter and a P2K GP-7 that had the QSI sound already installed. The speakers are integrated into the weights and the sound is at least twice as loud as my home-built job.
