Anyone know if i can use a SD70M Handrail set for a SD70MAC? I have 2 SD70M's that need new handrails and a SD70MAC that needs handrails installed, can i use SD70M's on a SD70MAC? Do you have to do any modifying?
What about SD70 or SD75 handrails, would those fit on a SD70MAC? Somehow i dont think those would either but....
I might be able to order a set of handrails from KATO direct for my CSX SD70MAC, but the set they have that i need is sold out, they only have the set for the SD70MAC Handrail Set, BN/BNSF Green/White (Mid, Cab Headlight), will these work? Whats the mid, cab headlight part? Is this going to matter if i put it on my CSX SD70MAC?
I bought a few handrails from a seller on ebay, so i went ahead and got a set of SD70M's, SD70's and SD75's to experiment with. Ill see if i cant modify them a bit to fir on the 70MAC lol
SD70/75 rails are similar, MAC's are longer. You'll have to bash them togeather. If you accomplish it, please report back, I need a few MAC rails myself.

Did anybody find any Kato H0 scale SD70MAC handrail sets? I need the rear railing as it's been lost or was never in the box. I have a CSX SD70MAC with gray handrails.
According to Kato websote it's part number 952102, problem is it's sold out. I was thinking about just making them up myself from some styrene and some small wire for the top rail.
Anybody have any ideas? You can find Athearn genesis SD70MAC handrails on ebay and at some Hobby stores but Kato parts are just hard to come across.
Jerry, you should be able to make some minor modifications to the Athearn handrails and fit them to the Kato. I think the mounting holes are slightly different but that's easily solved with a #65 drill, a pin vise, and some CA.
