Good Morning!
Just a quick fly-by! So I'll have to catch up with all the posts later.
We have been hiking into the fishing grounds. Stopped for a rest in the hills above the Lovett River.

This is the way the same Lovett area looked in 1915:

Until another day, have a good one! Gotta go!

Greetings from the West! We actually had a triple digit day yesterday of a round 100 degrees. Usually this time of year we are looking at them everyday! FYI - the high today is forecast to be 98*

I'm still pages behind in any comments to the forum. Someone mentioned "changes" -- whatcha talking bout, Lewis? What am I not privy too!

I meant to post this photo yesterday for TLOC and GUY - and any other CN folks that may be lurking? (no history on the pic)
This is my 'Front End Friday add'

Tilt!

Good Morning Everyone.....rain and storm on and out for today.

Cathy is on her way to the Toyota dealer for repairs to the leaking condensation tube in her vehicle. The Service Manger said either an hour job or an all day project. All Day!!!! No way.

Yesterday, I finally did a close inspection of the damaged caused by the clogged A/C condensation tube on the furnace in the train room. Cathy underestimated the amount of water in the tiles since many of the tile have dry tops, but water under the tiles. Lots of water under the self stick tiles and the cloth material on top. I removed a bunch of tiles yesterday and more due to be removed tomorrow. I'll reuse the tiles since the adhesive is likely ruined, but I can use a floor tile adhesive in a can and sparely apply the product to the tiles and re-install. I'll use the old tiles since many of them are custom cut to fit their locations. It will be some time before the tiles and floor dries and I can start repairs. At least the water was clean.

I have some damage to the wood trim on the layout that extends to the floor and cardboard boxes that were on the carpet tiles ruined.

I used a section of wire to work up the clogged plastic tubing to undo the clog. That and then blowing on the end of the tube open the blocked section. Time to replace the plastic tubing.

Received an email from Scale Trains this morning about costs increasing. Here's some info from their email.

"Since March, international transportation costs for containers have tripled due to extremely limited vessel space. At the same time, transit times have increased from 5-weeks to 10-weeks and sometimes longer.

This will impact our selling price for locomotives as well. A 10% price increase for a Rivet Counter DCC & Sound locomotive currently selling for $274.99 would add $27.50. We will share a portion of the increase which will likely result in a $15 price change." -Scale Trains

I'm sure that other model train manufacture will follow suit and raise the prices on their products since most use China as a source of their manufacturing and ship via ocean vessels.

Christian: I would leave the track spacing as it is and just try it out with some switching. I think it will work out just fine.

Going to do the bus trip to Upper Michigan soon. Last time it was winter and lots of snow on the ground in Harris, Michigan. Other than a time zone change, I feel like I am still in Wisconsin. The casino and hotel is very well run and the staff very nice. Lots of logging in the areas on the way up.

That's all for now......................

Bob wanders in, looking a bit tired and frazzled...

Good morning Comrad.... Oh, shit, it's catchy...

Good morning everyone. We've been being slammed with Russian Spam lately. After 2 days of research, edits, software upgrades, a new spam filter and some firewall mods, I think I've slowed the torrent back down to a drip. Fingers crossed, and let me know if you see anything odd.

It's been live about 3 hours. In that time, 75 bogus accounts have been rejected.

Thanks for the forum and the safety you are practicing

Someone mentioned "changes" -- whatcha talking bout, Lewis? What am I not privy too!
Happened yesterday sometime around 5:00 CDT. I couldn't log on or something. Forum responds differently when I quote a post or drag & drop photos. I think that some of the icons in the reply box changed also. Who knows what else. Maybe it's just my new hearing aids! Bob probably knows all.

LATE EDIT: I believe that it was "whatcha talking bout, Willis?"

I'm back. Spent some time up in the Flathead Lake area looking at properties staying at a friends cabin. Came across a few that were interesting looking for some with enough land for a couple of homes, a shop and a storage area for my cars.

Got home and found out that the power supply for my computer crapped out. Ordered one and when it finally showed up, it was the wrong one. The company I bought it from apologized and sent the correct one and paid all shipping charges.

The wife and I have decided to separate. She was really taken advantage of over the last few years where she was working with them piling additional work on her with no increase of pay or even an atta boy. She wants to move back to Florida. After a lot of thought that is not a place that I would want to move to. Can't take the humidity let alone the heat and it would cost thousands to move my car collection down there and to find a place to store them. Mt son wants to move to the area I was looking at property and he would be living on the same property. He, like myself can't stand what has happened to the valley here over that past years.

I did get over to the model railroad club and here are a few photos. I'll start with a few N scale photos.
