I just got my sd45 dummy trucks. I can't figure out how to remove the plastic sideframes from the wheels. I want to paint them silver and then eventually rust the wheels a lil bit.
 
Pull them straight off. I myself like to pry them with a small flat head screw driver from behind.
 


thats it? didn't think it was that easy thought it involved a lil more. Is it like this for all side frames?
 
Athearn side frames yes. Other companies, yes & no. Some do, some don't, use similar ideas.
