Guys,
These are T1 samples. They just show that the mold works and they actually did something with the money you sent them.
The brake gear absolutely sucks. I am not even going to bother posting images. It puts us in a bind because its going to hold up the truck release. If sales were better, our other option is to use the current supplier for the traction motor casings and side-frames for the brake details but his quote was much higher. When I have to beg just to make loan payments, it hurts no matter what I do.
The Spartan Cab T1 samples were pretty bad at first glance but when I looked at them a second time, the basic structure is intact and a lot of surface detail, while not cleaned and polished is mostly there.
Here are some images of the spartan cab next to the Athearn version.
Please keep up the support, it enables us to get this stuff done quicker and get the quality where we need it sooner.
Railflyer on the right, Athearn on the left
Ultra-thin Railflyer on the right, Athearn on the left
Lots to do, but not bad at the T1 stage compared to Athearn
Our new CNR Orange on the SD40-2, Our cab below
Another view of the cab against Athearn
All the best, please keep up the support, none of this is cheap or easy.
