Guys,

These are T1 samples. They just show that the mold works and they actually did something with the money you sent them.

The brake gear absolutely sucks. I am not even going to bother posting images. It puts us in a bind because its going to hold up the truck release. If sales were better, our other option is to use the current supplier for the traction motor casings and side-frames for the brake details but his quote was much higher. When I have to beg just to make loan payments, it hurts no matter what I do.

The Spartan Cab T1 samples were pretty bad at first glance but when I looked at them a second time, the basic structure is intact and a lot of surface detail, while not cleaned and polished is mostly there.

Here are some images of the spartan cab next to the Athearn version.

Please keep up the support, it enables us to get this stuff done quicker and get the quality where we need it sooner.

Lots to do, but not bad at the T1 stage compared to Athearn

Spartan Cab T1 Sample with some Photo-etch Applied

Guys,

Here is the cab test sample with some of the Spartan/Topeka Cab photo-etch applied.

Yes, the plastic is rough but its the best photo-etch to plastic interface to date for the very first sample.

All the best,

PS, the sunshades are in stock as DP 6615 and the doors as DP 6605.

i posted on diesel detailer about these. The brass really makes the cab. I personally dont care if they aren't smooth. Thats what sanding sticks are for.

Plus you should post the brake rigging anyway, let us see how bad it is.

All of the surface issues will get corrected in the next revision.

The brake gear appears that they just roughed out the cavities, nothing is formed except the rough shapes. I am not sure why they didn't make the effort to sent better samples but I've been pushing them to get something to me ASAP. My bad... They didn't tell me that they were not ready.

We have a "XMAS" discount posted for a few days.

This gives you 33% off the order when posted in the discount field at check out.
