I have a few atlas gold locos with dcc and sound. I have a digitrax empire builder system. I have seen where it seems like volume for individual sounds can be controlled but no real description for how to do it. Can anybody help me figure it out?
Do you have a copy of the QSI manual? If not, you can get it at http://qsisolutions.com/pdf/q_RevoA_Manual.pdf. It has all the CV setting you need to change sounds levels. If you get hung up, call QSI, and they can walk you through the settings. They have good customer support.
I have the instructions but that is where I get mixed up. They say to put in a certain value for CV49, but then to change another CV, these other CV's are nto a 2 digit CV, they are 2 digits with one or two decimals. In fact all through the manual it says to keep changing CV49 to different things. If I change it to something else won't it overwrite whatever I did prior? So how can CV49 change the volume for so many different things? I'm confused!!!
Imput CV 49 value : X = CV 49 value :
Imput CV 52 value : Y = CV 52 value :
array_CV52(X) = Y
That's the computer program running in the decoder at the time your changing the sound values. It takes care of all the data. Yes you are over writing CV 49 which it aways changing to store the data in a CV52(X) array.
CV 52(8)= Bell that's 52.8
CV 52(10)= Diesel Motor that's 52.10
etc. etc.
So just change CV49 to the sound value you need to change Bell etc. and then input the how loud you what it to be into CV 52 - 0 to 15. The computer program running in the background will take care of the rest.
