CORRECTION: The speakers should be wired in series not parallel the article has been changed to reflect that.

Good catch, but it doesn't say what the determining factor is (in general) whether one would use parallel vs. series for speakers.

The speaker resistance should be 8 ohms or greater with the most sound decoders. Parallel would produce less than 8 ohms.
