The March 1939 issue of Popular Science magazine had this article on building a Gasoline Storage Station from paper, cardboard and wire. It consists of two storage tanks, a stand pipe and a Pump House.

I had 'modded' the thing in Sketchup .. and it occurs to me that someone who wants to scratchbuild might want to start simple .. so ...

The Pump House is about as simple a structure as you could find – should be perfect for a ‘first time’ scratchbuild. To be perfectly serious the plans are not needed .. but I went ahead and made a ‘plan’ which you can download from here (plans in N, HO and O scales).
