Heres my second attempt at air brushing. It was bought as a undecorated SD7 and painted with Revel acrylics as the correct BN green was not available i just used "leaf green" in a satin finish and the black is just gloss black. The handrails were painted off the model i just held them with a pair of tweezers and sprayed, the white parts were picked out once they were installed.Microscale decals were used (another first) and the whole model got 3 coats of clear lacquer. It was a bit of a learning curve with the masking as it ran off slightly on the short hood and it went unnoticed until all the masking was removed, once i graduate to the weathering stage i dont think it will be noticed. The photos don't really do it justice the flash is a little harsh i perhaps need to experiment with different lighting in the future.
Definitely learnt a lot on this project.
Man that is one heck of a good paint job!
Very nice paint job.
Can't wait to see the finished Loco.
That looks great, nice work.
That does look great! Fantastic work.

Great work! Much better than my first one! The line between the black and green is very crisp. You already know the most important thing about airbrushing: mask well and the rest will look fine.
Very nicely done.

Thanks
Many thanks for the positive feedback on this model, only about another 10 to go

WOW that is one beautiful paint job! nice work

Missed your post the first time around but that is an A plus job for only a second attempt at airbrushing. Did you finally get the engine done? We want pictures.

VERY NICE! That seam from black to green is flawless.
