On board camera view of the layout

Michael, that is awesome video and sound. What brand and model of camera did you get? I bought a small "covert" camera, but it has no sound. It is small enough to sit on top of my locos, and connects directly to my PC via USB. The video isn't bad, but no sound. I would really like to know what you using.

Thanks Ted. Look on page 2 I posted a link to the camera I got. It was only $40.

Thanks Michael. That is exactly the camera that I have been looking for. A good price. and the video and audio is great. Curious, as how it does in low to no light?

Forgot to ask Michael, what kind of file sizes are you seeing, say for a 3 min video? Or the size of the video file that you have on YouTube?

My 6 minute video, the file size is 690mb.

Check out this thread over on another forum. There are things you can do to improve the lighting and stuff like covering the IR detectors with black tape.

Was your video from the first post made with this camera?

Have you tried putting the camera on a flat car on the leading truck with the flat car in front of the locomotive and the camera pointed backwards at the locomotive?
