We had a few (67) tornadoes come through Saturday afternoon here in good ole North Carolina. I was at work today helping clean up Simmons Army Airfield where I work. Here's a link to some pictures and a short video of the damage there.

Oh yeah, to keep it railroad related. I did get to call CSX today and tell them their line onto Ft. Bragg was totally shut down due to fallen trees on the tracks. The dispatcher had no idea that it was blocked. ;)

Glad your safe. I saw some video from the weather channel of Raleigh. My wife was thinking about moving again and Cary/Raleigh is where we want to go. Amazing to see a tornado in the city.

Steve, you think Jersey is messed up. Cary/Raleigh are a traffic nightmare on a good day. Add in a little rain/ice/snow, you can probably walk faster than traffic. Maybe think alittle bit further out.

All is well in Wayne County. We are about an hour east of Raleigh. The storm track on the Raleigh station shows we had three tornados track through here, but they were all still in the clouds. I have not been able to call the Antique Barn in Wilson. (Closed on Monday's) They are a good hobby supplier in the area. About 20 minutes north of here. So sorry to hear of all the fatalities. Three were kids. Could even have been more. Glad to hear your ok Jerome.

Well not to go ot, but everyone from NJ is going to the Raleigh/Cary area. A realtor told my mother a few years ago that Cary is known as the Centralized Area 4 Relocated Yankee's.

Glad to hear you are OK, Not too much in the news up here yet probably at midnight. Oh! yeah were sort of a family orientated here so posting information about tragic events that may affect others is quite alright.

Likewise, we are okay. Some pretty good sized branches and limbs fell off some trees in the backyard, and the shop at work got the floor flooded, but nothing a few hours' cleanup didn't take care of.
Thanks for thinking of us.
