Being a senior in high school I had to get my senior pictures taken sooner or later over the summer. I didn't want to do anything cheesy, I wanted my photos to be different from everyone else's. Being a die hard fan of the Wheeling Way I figured I'd shoot them an email and see what the outcome would be. Several emails, phone calls to the Superintendent of Motive Power, and a week later, I was in. I was totally estatic that they were going to let me use their property, and their equipment for my senior photos. Everyone there was pretty cool. They sent one of their veteran shop workers with us (for liability reasons obviously) as I got photos taken inside various cabs and on the pilot, or long hood walk way. They seemed pretty comfortable with me climbing on and off various locomotives and I was like a little kid in a candy store :D I brought my own camera with me and took photos of the area around the shops because I hope to model it some day in the future. I'll be posting more throughout the week. I could type up alot more here but for now this is all, if you have any questions though just ask me. Oh, and one of the locomotives from the movie "Unstoppable" was on one of the shop tracks. More on that later.

Thanks for sharing the photos (and it must have been exciting to sort of have the run of the place - with a camera no less.) I really like the first one and am thinking that if it was cropped would make an eye-pleasing and telling wall-hanger - i.e. there is still a part of the W&LE and the Industrial Revolution left in 2010.
