So i've got two issues I need help with. I'm using a Digitrax zephyr(dcs 50) for my operating.

1. I purchased the MTH SD70Ac'e 4141, My question is, Do I need a resistor to program it on the program track? I've tried repeatedly to program it but it will not accept the address, but it will run on channel 3(lights and sound).

2. I also have an Athearn SD70MAC.... It also works on channel three, but when i try to program the decoder the numbers just flash like it's writing the address onto the decoder, but they do that for about 3 minutes and then it still doesn't work using the programed address.(decoder is also digitrax)

Thanks for any info. I've got emails into both companies but i'm doubtful they'll reply anytime soon.

Just read about a program track booster. Anyone know if that would help?

I don't know about the MTH, so I can't help you there.

As for the other one, what number are you programming? If it is a 4 digit address, you'll have to set cv29 seperately to use the 4 digit address. (if your using the Zephyr on its own to program) If you plug a throttle into the zephyr it will program cv29 for you.

hope that helps

What do i need to change cv29 to? Also do i set it on main line or programing track?

thanks for the info

Finally got it working. cv29 was changed to a value of 38 for a 4 digit address....... Now i learned i only had a 2 function decoder so my ditchlights wont work.Off to the lhs to get a new decoder........ thanks for all the info.

Hopefully i can install the resistor and not blow these ditch lights.

The ditchlights on the MTH should work. It's not a 2 function decoder.

Sorry i didn't clarify.......The mth works , with some tweeking and changes.....I had to replace the decoder in the athearn due to my lhs giving what they thought was the correct decoder but wasn't. Sorry for the confusion.
