been selling a good amount of train sets this week. 2 left the shop today less then 2 hours apart. Even if only 1 out of very 100 kids that gets a train set stays with the hobby its good
That's very Heart warming to hear that model trains are making a come back again as the hobby was sure fading for the past 10 or more years which was very sad to see.
Also what this new interest means is that more equipment will start to be produced and possibly even many of the old engine and car manufacturers will get back into the production business again!!
Back in the '50's till about '95 the availability of HO & larger gauges were very plentiful with a wide selection of equipment to choose from.
Lets hope things will once again start to be as abundant as they were!!
As Gary said, lets make every effort to bring on-board all the new modelers we can. There are three new guys in my area that I'm aware of and Alan Grass, a forum member is one of them, and two others are fairly close at hand also so things are looking up where I'm at.
It's great these forums stimulate the interest of both the young and older Railroaders!
