I was going to lube the worm gears in my N scale loco. I have Hob-E-Lube Moly Grease, and Hob-E-Lube Gear Lube. Which of the two would be best? Thanks.

You're lubing gears right? Which one says gear? :D
The gear lube will be a little thicker but stay on longer. I'm not familiar with Hob-E Lube but make sure it's plastic safe.

Good point. Just wanted to be sure which was the better. They both are plastic safe. Thanks.

It seems to be very ambiguous. There are plastic safe greases, such as the white/lithium kind, and there are others best kept away from plastics such as automotive and metal bearing/bushing greases. But I don't understand why Hob-E Lube, or whatever, would market something for hobbies which are sure to involve numerous plastics and plastic parts that isn't safe for plastics. In fact, do the instructions for either of those two claim to be safe for plastics? Maybe you shouldn't bet the farm/loco's gear box on it.

I must say that greases of any kind with molybdenum disulphide in them are superior to those with none.
