Noodle is good
my dash 9 started to do some strange noise today, a kind of rattle noise when it moving. Is there something i could do to fix it ?

I doubt I'd know how to fix it. But I can tell you some of the questions the guys who do know will ask.
Who makes it? Model #, year made, etc.?
Have you opened it up and looked for for anything out of place? If not, try that.
Is this your only loco that makes the noise?
DCC or no DCC?

it a 1.5 month new dash 9 athearn loco
yeah i opened it up and looked for something that could be struck inside
and it running on DC
and yes it the only one to do this noise

Did you check to see if the motor is sitting all the way down into the motor mounts? If it's not the couplers for the driveshafts will click from being out of alignment.

they arent out of alignment i checked that first, but maybe a chip of cork could have find its way into one of the truck, IDK,
its a new loco so it shouldnt have any problem !

yep it way more louder

loco engine are opened on each side; maybe one of the bearing that keep the rotor in the stator has moved ?

edit : i unconnected both motor shaft i tried to run the engine, i also tried to run each truck separatly, verdict : front truck cause all that noise ! , i actually have no idea how to remove/open it however

Do you know if it is a new Dash 9, and older Dash 9, Athearn RTR Dash 9? There are several versions of it out there. If it's one of the older, non ready to run engines (you have to install the handrails), it is very possible it is a broken axle gear. It wil go "clunk, clunk, clunk" when running, usually louder in one direction.
You can see if that is it by gently turning the engine over on its' back, and running your thumb over each wheel in the front truck, like it was rolling down the track. Do this with the motor and drive shafts connected. If one pair of wheels rotates with your thumb moving it, that gear is cracked.

it a new dash9 RTR
i finaly removed the truck, there is really something wrong in it !
one wheel is blocking in reverse direction unless i push it

You should be able to remove the truck sideframes. I'm guessing you've got some debris stuck in the needle point bearing area of an axle. Check the exploded parts diagram that came with the engine for how to remove the sideframe.

its the U shaped underframe that gave me troubble, i cant remove it it hold by 3 pair of clip and i cant even unclip one, but probably, im doing it wrong

GRRRRRRRRR
while reassembling it i lost the damm peice that make the loco truck swivel.
it bounced against the wall then against table feet to end...... under the electric heater

this loco is going to drive me nuts

Put a single layer of thin cloth like a handkerchief over the end of your vacuum cleaner hose. Secure it so it can't get sucked into the hose. If you can, adjust the vacuum cleaner for light suction and then carefully run it along the bottom of the heater. The piece should get sucked up against the cloth.

I've got a Dust Buster with a piece of pantyhose tie wrapped over the nozzle. The prinicple is the same as a Mike's suggestion. The Dust Buster makes it easier to crawl around in tight spots. Along with spiders and other creepie-crawlies, I usually find the part eventually. :)

i tried already but the piece went in the gap between the foor and the wall, i will have to take off the electric heater, no so hard tought but it take some time, i must be there cause i looked everywhere else in the room, wich now look like if there where an explosion :D
