But they will yield on occasion, a few years back I was driving the first due engine to a chimney fire, lights started flashing as I approached the crosssing, a car was already stopped so I pulled into the oncoming traffic lane and stopped to wait for the train to pass, turned out it was only a single engine, the engineer stopped and waved me through the crossing

Somebody really doesnt get the concept of model RAILroading, you know where you drive TRAINS on the TRACKS
