your in brooklyn in that pic. the big highway to the right is the 278 or BQE
there are a lot of cobblestone streets with rails running around that area;)
 
Pretty neat picture with the cobblestone street. Is that subway car being pulled for scrapping? I sure hope so, it looks bad. What railroad is handling the switching?
 
it definitely looks like its going to scrap. If you look at the map it looks like a scrap yard on the waterfront. It could be brooklyn terminal railroad that is handling it. But it looks like a MTA/LIRR switcher.
