Having picked up my new Intermountain ES44AC CP DCC/sound loco (
$167US including shipping on EBAY
) I am wondering about the horn.
Out of the 20 or so possible the docs list 3 possibles for the ES44AC.

Nathan K3KA
Holen K5H
Looking at it and seeing 5 horns, I assume that either the first(default) or third would be correct???

I'd say go with the K5HL. I think the units are equipped with a K5LLA IIRC.
None of the horns on the soundset are correct. Go with whatever sounds good to you!
After having yours for a month now how do you like it....I have just ordered two of them one with DCC and sound, the other just DCC....I can't wait to get them....I have other intermountain locos with QSI sound decoders in them and I like them very much, this will be the first with a Soundtrax Tsunami decoder in it and I am curious as to what you think.
Ive had mine for about 6 weeks and 2 weeks now. Outstanding locomotives, very happy. I have the UP and BNSF versions. They are with sound btw.
