I think I will get this started

This is two pictures one coming one going. I think you will see what I mean.

This guy has guts

And he is still there

Now I am off to see a garden R.R open house

I have 17 different steamers, but one of my earliest, I think it was #5, is still my pride and joy. I love the lines, how it runs, and I like the specs of the real monster when it dragged heavy freight on the Pennsy. With only two cylinders and one less driver pair, it produced just 1000 pounds less tractive effort than the mighty UP Challenger. With its booster engaged, it beat the Challenger by 8000 lbs. of tractive effort. Not too shabby.

Lester, I am a sucker for articulated engines, and I would place that beauty right up there with it's only real matches, the Yellowstone or the Y6b. :D

And the Diesels are gaining ground! :p
I had to think about this one, I have a few favorites.
This one won out for the same reason as MGWSY's choice:

You and me both, my Uncle bought me a Rivarossi Y6b and it got me started back into this hobby. Now if I can get the damn thing running, it will definitely be my pride and joy. Can't take a pic as it is at a buddies house.
