Very true, I watch the sellers ratings very closely it's not hard to tell most times if they are trustworthy or not. When dealing with someone who deals model trains for the most part that should be taken in consideration, however when a seller has one train for sale amid a bunch of knick knacks, buyer beware! I have bought some junk and paid accordingly, but in most of these cases the seller has been quite honest and the items were better than expected and I certainly have no problem with that. When I see disclaimers I avoid the auction except if I want the item for parts. at a fair price of course.Not everything on eBay is junk
