I went to an estate sale with the wife yesterday. Turned out it wasn't as bad as it sounds. Seems the guy had a layout in one room of the house, and a bunch of goodies stashed away. Long story short, for $200 I managed to lay my hands on just about everything non rolling stock related.
That came out to over 500 turnouts, and a bit over 5000 track sections. Not to mention turnout controllers, switches, old dc power stations, and a bunch of other stuff. Granted, it's all brass track, but at this price I can live with running the cleaners a bit more often, hehe. Looks like I am putting in the master yard that I have been dreading hand laying after all.:D

haha he must have had some delusions of grandeur then. But that is an amazing price, even if it is brass, you paid pennies for each turnout, which are anywhere from 13-30 bucks a shot up here.

Just wish there was more flex track and fewer rigid pieces. Seems like 75% of the track is 18" radius. WTF am I gonna do with 18" radius? hehe
