Well over the Labor day weekend, I hosted my first run. The guest are now all gone, boy did it get quiet real fast.

The track was not all cleaned, and not much had been ballisted, and I still had not built a bridge or trestle over a canyon, I just ran out of time.

Sat. about noon the first guest arrived from Pahrunp , NV, he had his son in-law, and 3 grandsons in his 5th wheel trailer, which we parked in my driveway. all members of the LVGRS . Before long We had trains running on the newest part of the Railroad. I have a glitch in one new #6 switch..

About 1 PM, 3 other guest arrived, 2 were from Southwest NV, members of the LVGRS And the other one was from Texas., he is a frined I chat with on LSC

Before long, 2 more members of the LVGRS arrived from Las Vegas.

We BBQed dinner, of burgers with all the fixins, potato salad, Ham rolls, and such.

We ran trains until dark, I have no yard lites. The next morning found the 3 boys running their tains at 7:30AM..

At one time, I had 5 trains running on my 1000 feet + of main line. including a live steamer.

We BBQed again for lunch, and a few people had to return home for other family events. two gest arrived from near Carson City, and stayed to view the railroad for about 2 hours, The remaining 2 guest cooked some stew up over a open fire and we ate late, then ran trains till dark again.

They left at 9 AM on Monday, having 400 miles to drive home.

Overall, I believe I had a good run. everyone said they liked the railroad and track plan, and would like to come back.
under the shade tree.

Hey, Tiny, I was there, at least in spirit. My son and I spent quite a long time looking at your website yesterday --- enjoying every minute of it, by the way!

Nice layout NVTiny keep the good work up. You mentioning 5 trains on 1000 feet of main reminds me of a graden layout I ran on for a few years. The owner had about 1600' of mainline run, with weekly operations. At one point we would have anywhere from 10 to 16 trains running at once. :D Hopely one day you'll be running that many. :)
