What is this called?
I have seen some tracks with bearings (albeit in O gauge) on the track that allow you to run your train in a stationary format. Basically for display purposes.
I wanted to setup a small shelf in my office and be able to run an HO scale train without having it move.
Are the ones I have seen custom made units or do they sell these?

Wow!
I would rather buy an train.
Those are expensive:eek:
At least I know what they are called now, maybe I can pick one up used.

If you want to dynamic to show your loco without it move, you have two kind of roller stands to choice, one is the "roller test stand" for troubleshooting/testing/programing..., the other is the "dynamic roller demo stand" for demo the locomotive more perfection, both you are able to install in the wooden stand and acrylic cover.
