Hello from Genoa Illinois. I am Mike and my user name is CGW121 which tells you my favorite railroad and motor. I am in the process of building an ho scale layout in my basement which has overall dimensions of 21' by 30' It is kinda freelanced and set in northwest Illinois. I was involved in Vscale, otherwise known as MSTS, but I need something more hands on, and the wife wants me to make something for the Grandkids. HO in the basement won out over GScale in the backyard. I tend to read a lot more than I ever post. If you are near me let me know maybe we can meet and watch trains some where or something like that.

Welcome to the forums, Mike. This is a great site with a lot of talented, knowledgeable and friendly people willing to help with just about anything except roofing your house and who knows, you may just find someone willing to help with that!:p

Closest I get to that part of the state is when I'm working at Byron Nuclear Station. I usually try to make it over to Rochelle at least once to watch trains if my schedule will allow it. If not, I settle for watching in Oregon.
