Has anyone taken apart a Tomix Thomas?

I'm trying to see if a Tomix Thomas the Tank Engine will take a decoder, but am perplexed as how to take it apart. Anyone have any success?

Does this help? By the way, there are two (at least) versions of Thomas, one with a split frame and flywheel and one without, but I think removing the shell is the same for both.

Yeh, that's the one I have. At least I know it will take a decoder. Thanks.

pay attention to the insulating tape. It's very important if you dont' want to burn up the decoder.

Does anyone know if Tomix make other Thomas the tank engine characters in N Scale or is it just Thomas?

I am particularly interested in getting a 'Percy' in N Scale.

They make James, Henry,and Percy. Nothing against NewhallStation, but Plaza Japan(an ebay store) has much better prices, that's where I got James, Henry, and Percy(my father-in-law got me Thomas when he was in Japan).
