did they make any dummy gp60b's? how hard would it be to turn a gp60 into a dummy gp60b?

Not to the best of my knowledge they didn't. I took a few Athearn RTR GP60B's and removed the drive train and gears, now all of them are dummies. I left the circuit boards and lights in them.

take everything out? leave the gears in the wheels? or strip everything out above the frame?

Take the motor, drive shafts, worm gears and 3 gears out of each truck. The gear on the axle has to stay in to connect the 2 wheel halves.

Too many units with power. I don't need every unit I have powered. That's my reason anyway.

i dont have dcc and i dont need or want a powered B unit
