North of the 49th
I finally got to lay some of my free ballast. Some of you may recall that this was obtained from a pail of "manufactured sand" I got for free that was sifted. I think it's a tad big scale-wise but I'm happy with it. And the price was right.:D

As for the fence, I learned how to make it from this forum. I used a roll of tulle I got from Micheals and 14 gauge and 19 gauge copper wire I had on hand. Not bad for a first attempt.;)
 
The ballast looks very nice, compared to some of the pure round pebbles that come in "scale" ballast. All Ballast I've ever seen is chunky, and sharp, like yours.
 
Bernie, i think the ballast and the chain link fence look great!! And like you said, the price was right so you cant beat that!!
