Ok I'm ripping my entire layout apart for a THIRD time (that's the charm, right?) to go with flex track with a 40 inch radius, figured I'd snap a few pics of my rolling stock so far before I did so. These are my first ever photos of my railroad, but please DON'T be kind. I can take criticism, I know it's not personal. I have big plans for my new layout, gonna be a few months before I can complete it though.

The uploaded photos here are reduced size copies of yours, your originals remain the same size. Hope it works :D Willis

Your pictures are HUGE! Can you make them small so they fit on the screen, no one can see anything.

Good luck on your new layout... Oh,wait, I know why they're so big... you model in G scale, right?:D

thanks

Yeah, I guess I should have scaled those down a bit. But the camera I'm using today is on loan from work. It's also TERRIBLE if you don't get it exactly squared away and free of vibration. I'm just so proud of my two locomotives especially, and my MRY caboose that I never thought I'd find, had to post it somewhere :D

First congrats on the upcoming layout.

As for the photos, thanks for posting them. For a critique, I'd say the camera and trains need to be perfectly still and pour on the extra light...:)

Yeah, those pictures are 2272 x 1704 pixels, roughly twice the size of a 19" monitor ;) If you're using FireFox (which you should be :p ), just right click, select "View Image," and it will scale it to your browser window size.

Nate, that idea works in IE too, IF you've got it set to resize (I don't).

Nice shots.

I hate IE, and I hate auto resizing. Half the reason for the latter is that my screen is only 800 tall, and it being a wide screen...

Is that a 17" widescreen then? Sounds like you need one of these :D http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009102 . I'm running 1680 x 1050 which makes it nice for running two programs side-by-side.

Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you, but I'm sure it will be worth it. The more experience you have, the quicker it goes. A 40" radius sounds HUGE though...how big is your layout?

My attic is roughly 15' x 30' and and the agreement with the misses is that as long as I keep all my crap up there, I can have it all :D So my plan is to run 4x4 plywood all around the walls (can't get 4x8 up the steps, let alone in my car), with some sort of a bridge over the stairwell. I have HUGE plans, but it's gonna take me awhile. But then, that's the purpose of a hobby, right?
