Finally got around to building the critter

I've had this On30 project sitting in the closet for about 7-8 years. I was caught up on all the other miscellaneous projects so I dug out all the Kemtron, Cal Scale, donor Bachmann 44 Tonner power unit, and Shapeways parts. It took about an hour to fit and assemble everything. The only issue is going to be coupler mounting. I'm going to deal with that when I get around to weathering, lettering, and an engineer.

It does sit lower to the track, but since the couplers aren't on yet I just placed it on the power unit.

I'll make a mini diorama/display stand for it when I'm finished. I'm staying with standard gauge HO and DCC. There's more available and fewer headaches.

Ok, I'm done. Good enough. I'll build a display stand for it and go do something else.

Sprayed with a flat finish. I think it looks better now.

If I was going to start over I might have built in 1:62using HO items for a 3' narrow gauge since I am not using any commercial components for anything but track, wheels and engine chassis.
