I'v been searching but to no avail unless im just doing something wrong. I've seen some ho engines that have fake primemovers under the shell making it look real in a way. Who makes these and also who makes cab interiors? and can they be used in any brand locomotive?

For a primemover for an early EMD use the kit mentioned above. For a GE or laterEMD, scratchbuild !

You could also use Cannon doors to show them as being open. There was something on using graphics or pictures to simulate the prime mover if your model still has the can motor in it.... I don't remember where I saw the article, here or in one of the MR magazines.

Precision Scale Co. makes cab interior kits in HO. You could also order parts from Kato, Athearn Genesis (Horizon), Atlas or Proto as they all put interiors in their models.

Thanks for that link. Im going to place that in my "big" for checkout. Gotta look for a few passenger car details too.

GAPPLEG, thats pretty dam impressive. I just dont think i'de be able to pull something like that off.

That one is a first attempt. All hand done with files sand paper etc. I will do another someday and it will be better. I learned alot doing that one.
The query above , yes there was a thread on that somewhere, I kinda went through the stages of frustration of building it. Also in my photo bucket under projects is the GE rad cab project. Nothing fancy just a little fun thing.
