Hi guys hows it going say i know you guys have been through this thread many time about ditch lights and all but i was wondering if anybody has had experience using scalelike industries ditch lights well i was going to use them on one of my 3 locomotives. I got a atlas gold gp40-2 w/sound, an athearn gen mp15-ac standard dc and a proto 2000 gp38-2. I am also getting into dcc as i will be buying the digitrax zephyr set here in a few weeks but anyways my orginal though was to put it in the atlas gp40-2 so i contacted atlas but the ditchlight ? and they told be that i would need to add in a function only decoder to it so i dont know maybe you guys can give me some ideas on what to do for this project. I would also like to know if anybody likes the sound from the SoundTraxx Tsunami Digital Sound Decoder has i was thinking of getting one for my mp15. I have posted some pics to give you an idea on what i want to do. hope you all can help me out.

I like the Tsunamis for the EMD models (567s, 645s (both versions) and have only heard the 710 once). The QSI does a better job with the GE FDL16.

The MP15 does not have very much room in it for a speaker. I don't know where Athearn puts one in there (if they have before).
 
To find out where Athearn puts the speaker, try to find the parts list and diagram. Should show it there. I believe they have an MP15AC with sound.
