Jerome I think what you got started is great so modifying the frame or car body will be prototypical either way. I am sure you will make it work and it will be fantastic!
I got the decals done last night, once I get it into gloss I can see what kind of modification I need to make to it. Thank you all for the great suggestions.
Got a set of caboose trucks today. I didn't know they were Genesis line. They have feeder wires attached for caboose lights I assume. Bit on the expensive side for a set of trucks though.
Hmm now you’ve got me wondering how many cabeese I’ve sold in the past that might have had that generator notch.
I’ll see if I still have any pictures and if they show any!

So long as they are Athearn, the mountings on the caboose should be the same. Don't know about the BB's, whether they are different, but the later cars can be swapped.
LOL sorry Toot, I neglected to say 1/1 cabeese.
I forget not everyone knows I had a business in railway salvage.
Im just finishing cleaning it all out now.

I hope you weren't the one that scrapped MRL SD45-2 #301 and 311, not long after they had full overhauls and repaints into the late livery and were modeled and released by Athearn shortly after! If you are, we are finished, gone, excommunicated.
