That's really cool! Fits with nothing I have but I want one. How does it perform?
I have to say I am pretty impressed with the performance. It is rock-solid and smooth as silk rolling over the rails. Both the loco and the cars have a good amount of weight to them, which I think contributes to the smooth running. Cab and cars have factory lighting which helps greatly in the appearance department. So far it's exceeded my expectations!
Does that include the sound-capable car, or did you fit your own setup? What did you use?
Yes, it has the sound-capable car. I use an MRC decoder which has a nice sound, but not the greatest slow-speed operation. You can see at the beginning and end of the video, when the loco starts and stops, it's kind of abrupt.
I did notice, but it did sound great!
Very nice! I like the way the lights glint off the rails. Most prototypical.
That's one strange puppy but for reasons I can't explain I like it. I think they should have named it the GM Bel-aero Train.

Looks awesome! I have always wanted my very own Aerotrain on my layout. I grew up seeing the real one a lot at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI.
That looks great. By co-incidence I am about to fit a Sountraxx Tsunami sound decoder in my Aerotrain Demonstrator version. I am just waiting for an 8-pin adapterto arrive as Tsunamis come with just wires so need adapting to fit the sound car extension cable easily.
There was some confusion about which horns the Aerotrain used - as far as I can discover it is a Leslie S-3L.
Can anyone confirm or correct ?
Regards, Colin.
