I completed the Basic Oxygen Furnace finally tonight, and after we get it painted next week, I can add it to the layout.

This was a fun project, and my first attempt ever at making something from scratch. I used foam core board and two Electric Furnace buildings and a bunch of Plastruct sheeting and tubing.

I have one more 8 foot section to build, as I am re-locating the coke ovens and the by-products plants. After that, I will post a few pictures of the completed mill.

Do you have anymore pictures of the rest of your Steel Mill layout posted here? :D
 
Thanks Josh. I have not posted any other photos yet, I am still a newbie.

In a few weeks, I will put some up. The Mill is the first module up on the layout and is spread over 5 eight foot sections. Works out nicely in n-scale.
 
Wow a 40' Steel Mill, sounds like something right up my ally! lol Looking forward to seeing some more pictures Frank!
