BNSF Red?

I need to get a paint to match the BNSF red on the ex Santa Fe Units. I cant find a "BNSF Red" in Floquil/Polly Scale or Badger Paints. Anyone ever used a red to match the BNSF red and Silver paint scheme? If ya did, what color red did you use?

Josh, Look at the different ATSF reds. Your working on an ex-Santa Fe warbonnet.

Josh, matching paint is hard these days. every train manufacturer has just a bit different shade. There is no "ONE" color that works.

LOL yeah i have a feeling this might be a little difficult to match the exact Red that Athearn used to do this

I've mixed a bunch of paints to match a certain color. takes time and patience is all. eventually you'll get something close to it. then a little weathering over the entire thing, and you can't see it at all.

Okay so i found the ATSF Red, thanks for the tip Jerome

I also got some other colors that were not in stock at the other place i did my big paint order with (including TTX yellow) and a few more packages of drop and straight 18" grab irons lol
