trying to find a paint scheme on the kalamar container tractors for bnsf.i have searched high and low maybe not looking in right place.have tried to see them at the local container yard but allways parked behind building.any help?

I assume you mean the Kalmar single side cab tractors. The standard colors for Kalmar are white or red. Anything else costs extra and, knowing the BNSF, I think they'd take a white tractor and slap a logo on it. :)

well bought one from walthers.i have been to most of bnsf"s container yards but that was ten years ago.we have a yard across the river and i know there green just can"t remember what other color.lately they have been parking them behind the building so can"really see the paint scheme.

The yard in San Bernardino uses white tractors. They're actually lettered for "Eagle" (Eagle Lift) which is the same company that operates the cranes on site. They're not Kalmar, but rather Ottawa.

i am looking for the container crane-tractor and what paint scheme.have one i "d love to paint just want to get it right.not the over head cranes but the big tractors that yank the containers off.

There is one at the Barstow yard, it's all yellow and beat up looking. Grease and oil all over it, don't even have any reporting marks on it. The ones at the A Yard in San Bernardino, which are hardly ever used any more, were all red, and beat up looking. I'll try to get a few pix the next time I go over the flyover.

Ahh, the mobile tractor cranes... I think the San Bernardino ones are yellow (IIRC). I'll be there Saturday, I'll see if I can find one.

The over track cranes are painted orange & green.
