Actually I think the original Armorcast buildings are no longer there. All that is left is another company that is NOT the Armorcast building. From what Ican tell the original Armorcast was located just south of FM Brown. The foundry buildings there now made drills, pumps and machinery, but not armor.

Which of the buildings are you calling the "Armorcast" buildings?
I also model Birdsboro and the W&N. The large facility along the former wye leg was originally Brooke Iron Works, then Birdsboro Steel Foundry and Machine Co., and the steel mill was E&G Brooke Iron Co.which is why the tower in Birdsboro was BE (BrookE) Tower and the tower along the Main Line was BO Tower (aka cp Bird). Brook Iron went through multiple owners over the years but primarily made machinery, pumps, rock drills. I have read that Armorcast started making tank hulls and turrets in the Korean War. There was also another foundry south of Office St where it looks like FM Brown has expanded.
The RCT&HS had an article a decade or more ago that had detailed RDG track maps of Birsdboro. There is an aerial photo of the Birdsboro from the 1930's area in Holton's book.

I think a reply from Lab Rat may be a long time coming. His first post to the forum was on Jan12 2010 and his last on May13, also 2010. I guess 3 years almost would be a long sentence for trespassing, so maybe someone should send a posse to those buildings in case he's still in there. He'd be 22 now.
