Hi all;
Im in the process of designing my new layout which will be computer controlled.
I'd like to know from your experience, which of the two (digitrax's 'super chief' and nce's systems) is more friendly and easy for the PC hookup and operation?
as i saw, digitrax also make all the necessary block decoders, detectors and signal decoders which NCE dont make
then there is NCE's throttle which i find easier to use:confused:

what's your opinion?

Well, I use Digitrax Super Chief, their BDL168's, SE8's, and PM42. Railroad and Company software is the brains behind the operation with RailOp for generating train manifest. Naturally, my opinion is slanted :D. :)

Well, here in Central Ontario, the local club has Digitrax and half the club does not like it.

The guys are divided in their home layouts between the NCE Systems and MRC Prodigy systems.

Once you have used an NCE or MRC handheld, you do not want to go back down to the digitrax ones.

Well guys, as usual much appreciated information

Just grabbed for $10 (!) the locobuffer (though not the USB version, the RS323 one) at litchfield station. seems to be the last one.
they say it come "as-is" without any cables or manual. fine with me :)

That is what I used for a long time before lightning got it. Now, I have the USB and it is faster, but the Locobuffer II did a good job.
