Wondering if anyone has ever painted a Southern Pacific black widow on an F-unit ? I noticed the Microscale decal set only goes up to the headlight (silver) and the rest of the nose needs to be painted silver and blended in to match the decal.
IF anyone has done this, what silver did you use to match the decal ?
Thanks,
Mark.
I have not done a F unit, but have done some GP9's. I seem to remember using Pollyscale ATSF silver.
I used Floquil, not "Old Silver", the other one (Bright Silver, I think...). I did many GP-s & F's in my Athearn BB days. The only factory painted Black Widow you could get then was the Stewart F-3...still have that one!
Thanks for the replies guys.
Mark.
Athearn has the Black widow coming out in September of 2011
Not to hijack this thread, but Athearn is coming out with the GP9 in Black Widow, any word about a SD9 in Genesis?
