Jaz- I think you have succeeded very well.
I am enjoying you construction photos as the finished product looks very different from the raw area.
I am a bit of a cheapskate on the sly, and when I want something I believe is over priced I either wait or get impatient which leads to problem solving I had the same issue with steps, the ones I wanted were rip £6.75 but were no longer made and people were paying £25+ to get hold of them I had a couple but thought……eeeeek I am not paying that and was using foam at the time so…l.

this is the over priced faint item resin and metal very nice but not the stupid price it was attracting
