Thought I needed to post a Railroad photo, this one from around 1890 came from my Dad's collection, not sure who took it, however:

The track plan here is copied on my layout, as well as the front warehouse. The left warehouse is 350' long, according to the plat map. They stored the wire grass I posted yesterday in these, prior to shipping to St. Paul for final processing.

These are the decals I want, will be contacting Precision Design Company about making the white signs for the buildings. I used a white pen to try to recreate them, however not happy with the results:

The plan is to get some nice, crisp decals made and get these upgraded.

Excellent modelling I scrolled past first time thought it was reference scrolled back up for something else and thought…..excellent showmanship.

Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and a muggy 78° headed up to 97° later today. I am enjoying this cool spell before we get back to triple digits starting Tuesday for at least a week. That is the forecast. No rain in sight and I am irrigating the garden as I type since we have no wind this morning.

Looks like some of my big tomatoes might just ripen this weekend. I have been waiting patiently for them. So far there has been just a dozen or so, and maybe 50 cherry and grape tomatoes ripening. All hell is fixing to break loose. I did harvest the other four heads of cabbage yesterday, there's now 5 in the fridge taking up space. We already ate the sixth one, half as cole slaw and half cooked with German Sausage. I actually have more Yellow Squash this year despite planting less. But I have run through all of my squash recipes and need to find more as well as start repeating some. Green bean crop this year has been disappointing so far. Getting plenty for fresh eating, but have not gotten enough to pressure can any yet. Last year I put up 24 pints. I think that I still have four pints left. I've been picking both Bell Peppers and Jalapenos. Nothing to brag about since I did lose some plants to a frost and could not come up with replacements in time. I also finally picked the purple onions yesterday, looks to be a bigger crop than the white ones from last week. Found an unknown ant bed and I have over a dozen ant bites on my right hand now.

Thursday morning and making the list for the weekly grocery trek. A busy trip is planned with additional stops at the post office, pharmacy, wine store, haircut and the dreaded clothing store. I hate buying clothes and my wife no longer buys them for me.

Thanks to all who commented or liked the chairs; Tom O, Dave B, Smudge, Guy, Sherrel, Karl, Louis, James, Hughie, Curt, Mikey, Rick, Patrick, Tom, OB Ken. It really was a simple project.

Not a lot of photogenic stuff going on out in the train shed right now. Been running trains and doing general cleanup. Losing the previously purchased chain last month has gotten me in the mood for cleaning and sorting. At least I haven't lost any locos or tools.
I did work on Dotty's bikini.

Troy - Tough position to be in with no electricity, and seemingly no resolution in sight.

At least she won't eat it.
Tom O - Continued best wishes on a speedy recovery. I read that bamlanivimab's emergency use application had been withdrawn. What gives???

Everybody have a great day.
What..no painted toe nails?
can’t work out what’s on her back, but I bet you had your tongue between your teeth getting the sarong just right…..oh and excellent dull blue for the lily bed

POWER IS ON!

Running AC, dehumidifier, and air filters

Other than fridges trying to catch up, I'm leaving all but a few needed lights off. Power grid is probably getting slammed right now.
A green disconnected radiators just too warm to add to it, now running fans and ac …still exporting solar…had to set the Tesla to dog mode it reached 40 degrees and pinged us…

Figure… no clothes……..

Some good news today for me. My Endocrinologist had submitted my name with my permission over 1.5 years ago to a Smartwatch company. They were looking for diabetics to test out a new watch with a bunch more medical features aimed at diabetics. I qualified for the 3rd phase of the testing this thing. Somewhat like a cross of the Continous Blood Glucose Monitor and the fitness stuff currently available. I will need to sign a NDA. But, it is not from the FitBit company.

I can’t wait as I loved the Continous BGM I used for a month but one that the Insurance company would not pay for. ($35 per week when I asked to buy one plus quarterly price reviews) That had a probe that injected to able to test the Blood Glucose levels and had to be changed every 2 weeks. This one supposedly does not require breaking the skin. I love the idea of not having to stick my fingers with a needle 2-4 times a day. My Endo says 4 per day, Medicare says twice a day.

Also, a buddy asked me in April to weather a variety of rolling stock with no pulp cars in the mix. I shot him a low ball price for 100 cars in 10 weeks. Then he went back to his club and then they wanted to haggle. I told him the pricing was for HIS cars not club cars. Since I am not a used car dealer I told them no. Then they wanted to buy the paints and pan pastels for me, I said no and forgot about till I got a call today.

They want to know the price for 320 cars paid individually by 16 different owners. Hand delivered and picked up. That will save the group considerably especially since the guy doing the pick ups and deliveries works close by me. USPS shipping has really gone through the roof.

So, I asked. What do they want to pay per car? He replied and almost said no but instead I said I will call you Friday afternoon.

I need to think on this. 10 per week is 32 weeks and I won’t be home in Wisconsin for hopefully 1/2 that time. 32 weeks in my mind is unrealistic as too long a time commitment. 20 per week is doable when I am healthy and on a roll, 30 is not possible at any time. I am thinking nope, can’t do this! But it is the ego boost that I needed this week

Edit. I called the air booth guy if he has the vent attachment, I am thinking

Afternoon All,

Started out doing pool maintenance before it got too hot. Had to scoop out a small king snake (still alive). After that I had inside chores. This afternoon I made a bunch static grass weed clusters. I think I need to order a office kit for the Mill Creek Mine. I have one narrowed down between FOS yard office #3 or a Brick Pennsy kit from Micromark.

Dave- That looks like back breaking work in the fields. Were the buildings red or a unknown color? Very sorry to hear about your wife.

Smudge- That type of problem happens to me all the time.

Troy- Congratulations finally. I'm sure it's a real relief.

Todd- I was on the PA turnpike passing a semi that blew a tire as I was passing. Scared the poop out of me.

Joe- Nice 1:1 photo.

James- Sounds like a great trip. I was shocked by the size of the Big Boy that I saw at Steamtown.

Guy- Nice photo, but better without the vandalism.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Can't tell what color they were. But I am partial to the red I chose.

I contacted decal company, got immediate reply and prices are reasonable!

Wife has good and bad days with shoulder, struggles with anxiety already now this, it has been a test of faith.

THANKS for your concern!

Dave: Looks like the 1890s picture... Looks good as is.

Actually, it will be more fun to see Willie in his brand new suit.
What an ordeal! Over an hour trying on three pairs of slacks, five shirts and six sports jackets to see which one my wife liked, (and fit me). Shirt and slacks were the first ones that I picked out, sports jacket was the second one that she picked out. Slacks are still too long because I have size 28" legs and the shortest available were 30". She claims that she can fix them. Even as a kid, my mother always had to hem up my pants. I wore school uniforms to all 12 years of Catholic schools.

... Ken DJ - still waiting on your photos.

I'm workin on em. Makin them extra-large so ya all can see the detail in the leaves and branches along with the saw cut lines. Then the way I stacked the logs. About a dozen pictures as the stack grows bigger. I have another dozen or so pictures of my saw from different aspects and closeups of the model number and some of the wear marks.
Should be along soon.

TomO: Your hobby is turning into a business venture. Deadlines can turn into nightmares if you allow them to interfere with your enjoyment of the hobby and your other interests.

I would suggest doing 50 or so cars for your friend and then see what happens down the road. Set no timeline, but collect $$$ in advance for the cars.

Greg

Welll I took the afternoon off to take the Vette out. 2017 ZO6 650 HP/ 650 ftlbs of Torque with ZO7 package (Z07 performance package – which adds carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin® Super Sport Cup 2 summer tires and a carbon-fiber aero package that delivers true downforce.” The result is a potent track car.) Unleashed the Beast today.....hit 156 mph today while playing around. It tops out at 228 mph at Watkins Glen International.
Super Charged LT4

It's no joke...ya gotta love it!
