Did I here someone say Freeeeeee Credit Cards?:) I'm awake now:eek:!

Well guys,

The end to another month of mowing has come, I'm off the clock now... let the cash and checks start to flow in:D. I should have enough cash just from the mowing to buy the new motor for my ZTR and Pay the Morgage! And My FIL is worried I couldn't support the family on this:confused::rolleyes: Either way to soon yet to here from my son or the wife, remember he's giving her hell for not comming home. I wonder if she made any head way, LOL I think she may hit a block wall with him. My son's peronality is a real good mix of 60%me,20%mom,and 20% my FIL. 13 years old and got the mind of a 21!;):p I got to clean house today and tomarrow for the BBQ this Sunday! CUL8er!:D

Oh..LOL..not to worry then. **hands Chris several well worn cards"" :D:cool:

Dana, for your sake, I hope they have expired. Took me 6 months to get mine back from Chris......had to throw a steak in the air and snatch it off the table when he reached up!:D
Then the statements showed up........liquor stores....strip clubs....massage parlors......adult book stores......and the Bama campus gift shop....he spent the smallest amount here!!!!:rolleyes:

Good morning folks

It was a pleasant 65 F this morning on the way in. Our high will be 81 F. However, by Tuesday we could hit 100 F!

I spent the last few days out of the office attending meetings and field views. We have one project under construction and we have been attending the bi-weekly progress meeting to answer any questions about the design. We also have a couple of projects that are going to bid this summer and we need to give them a once over in the field with the latest sets of plans to hopefully head off any last minute problems.

On the home front it has been quiet or at least until yesterday. The other night we found that our long haired cat had a nasty wound on his side. We are not sure how he got it. We took him to the vet last night and they have to perform surgery to clean up and suture the wound. We will be picking him up tonight.

I have also been helping my son with some of his merit badge requirements. We have been looking over the fence he is going to replace as part of his Family Life project. He is working on a list of materials he needs.

My daughter had volleyball open gym last night. They were working on serving. She picked up a few pointers and was learning how to do a jump serve.

This holiday weekend will start out busy. We will be marching with the Cub Scouts in a 4th of July Parade tomorrow. On Sunday we plan on taking a trip to Cape Henlopen, De and spend some time on the beach. Monday I am hoping to sleep late.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good morning. It's 74 and cloudy. The high today will be 86 with a 50% chance of rain.

There was an 80% chance of rain yesterday bit what we got wouldn't fill a thimble. If I hadn't been outside at the time I never would have known there was any rain. Maybe we'll have better luck today, but I'm not holding my breath. I placed an order with Walther's yesterday for an 8 ounce set of weathering powders. Now that I've tried them I really like them. The cars I've done over the last few days were done from a very small sample packet. They don't wash away or wipe off the way artist's chalks do.

I did get you a glass of water to put out the wallet fire!:p;)

LOL!! No fire here...just ashes!:D. Btw Chris...I use to live just down the road from you in New Port Richey, my "brother" still lives in Port Richey. I left in '04, and miss the area. But my kids and grandkids are all up here, so I guess I'd better stick around awhile.

As Chris' world crashes and burns, The wife has left me! I'm now single again and not really liking it....... I still lover and if feel nothing but pitty and sorrow for her. I really don't think she really know what horrable chain of events she has unleashed upon herself. Myself I will pick up the pieces and keep moving forward as best as I can and Thank God I have you guys for support!:o So far I don't know what she plans to do now/Child support/The dogs/ and getting her crap out of my house. The House is another sore issue that is going to bug me in more was than one. But for now My main focus is on my business and getting a night job so I can truely get the $$ support I need.! Got to got my sister is here........

Damn Chris sorry to hear it. All i can and am going to say is sorry. I wish i could help more but this is out of my realm. :( Best of luck pal and sorry again to hear what happened.

Chris, I'm really sorry to hear that. All I can tell you is to take each day as it comes. Focus on your work, take care of you and your son. Set your prioities in that direction, even if you have to take some time away from here. I know it's tough..been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. We here for ya, so if you need to sound off...just tell Flo to put it on my tab. :)

Chris, sorry to hear things are still deteriorating. If you think the situation is really hopeless at this point, your first priority should be to get a lawyer. I don't know if Florida is a no fault divorce state, but most courts still give some weight to abandonment. As I'm sure your lawer will advise you, don't communicate with her directly any longer - have it go through your lawyer. By the sounds of your FIL, he's probably ahead of you on this already, and you need some help on your side. The old bit that "anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law" applies to civil court also. Get that Ambien too - you need a good night's sleep.

Had a great time model railroading today. KenL and I went to Rex's layout in Tuscaloosa for a great operating session, as well as some of the best filet mignon I've had in a long time, courtesy of his lovely wife. I thought we were going to get burgers. :) Rex is coming right along with his steel mill and has rearranged part of the layout to accomodate it. He added a modified time saver yard to one of his new town sites. I had the train that had to switch the time saver. I'm lucky to get the switches on the main lined right. Rex helped me out, but he had an evil cackle the whole time. :)

We stopped to see CJ over in Hoover next. He has more hand laid track than I've ever seen on a layout. His general benchwork and Ken's were remarkably similar, except CJ's goes up three levels in a nolix format. Also saw William (L&N Castle) again, with some of his new locos. Going to CJ's is like a step back in time. Almost all his engines and rolling stock are from the time that I first started to model, back in the 60's. It was pretty neat seeing all those old kits still rolling, and a lot of them looked better than I remember. He had a string of Westerfield cars that really looked great. If any of you have built Westerfield's, you know having one come out nice is a real accomplishment.

Thanks to both of you for sharing your time and layouts with us. Since I haven't run a train in about two months, it was nice to get in some real operating for a while.

Good morning everyone.

Jim, sounds like you guys had quite the fantastic evening. Too bad Alabama is so far away, I'd join you guys if you're serving fillet mignon!:D

Chris, I'm sorry to hear of your continued troubles. When going through our failed business, this forum was a nice relief valve for me too. Keep your chin up and your head down. Ditto on the lawyer comment. Even if it's the cheapest one you can find, get one.

We had an awesome night last night. Since we're not doing much on the actual fourth we partied last night. My admission fee at the in-laws was homemade baked beans and a case of beer. Seemed kind of expensive to me! It was a little windy, but at least it didn't rain or anything.

I have a short day at work today, then we're off to two more get togethers with the in-laws. My wife doesn't drink so she will be our chauffeur for the evening. It's also handy to have the third row of seats in the Explorer. You can fit seven people fairly comfortably in that thing. Not that we have seven in our party tonight, but we may pick up a few along the way!:)

Have a great weekend everyone. If I don't get on here tomorrow then Happy Forth of July!

Chris, getting a lawyer, even if you don't need him, is the best advice you've been given. Too many rely on "backroom" lawyers for help. Doesn't work. Shop around and get one that is an a-hole towards the opposing side. I've got two that have the attitude of a bezerker...... Nasty fellas in the courtroom. One is a fishing buddy nowadays, when he has time.

Bob

HEY HEY and a HAPPY JULY 4 weekend!

The weekend started out wonderfully with Jim and Ken's visit. I really enjoyed their visit that was six hours full of fun and laughter. I feel very lucky to have met these two guys on here and then be able to actually meet them in person. It is a shame that when you meet so many nice guys on this forum, distance usually keeps us from ever connecting.
BTW: Dana, thank you for paying the tab on the filet mignon. Sure was yummy! :D

The wife is off this July 4 (first time in years) and wouldn't you know that we don't have much of anything planned.

Chris: I know that it is hard to believe now, but soon and as you heal from your initial hurt/shock, everything will start becoming more clear to you. Right now, stay around friends or family as much as you can for their support. Try not to get (too) angry and think of the good things you have always wanted to do, but couldn't while married (no, I don't mean BAMA cheerleaders:D:D )

All of you: STAY SAFE and enjoy a Happy Forth! :)

10-4 on the advise guys and all will be thought through carefully! Right now I need ton's of prayers for my son and I, as well as for my lawn service/ getting a good paying overnight job too! Once again guys thanks for being there for me!!!!!

Hello y'all,

I realize I haven't posted here in ages. But I have been lurking and keeping up with what's going on. [Welcome to the coffee shop Dana; Chris, hang in there bud, your on my prayer list.]

We've been in Alabama the past week visiting with my wife's sister & family near Birmingham. I took the opportunity to stop in on a few ARG, starting with Mikey (Pink Floyd) and a visit with the Wrecking Crew at their Monday night meeting in the basement of the McWane Center.

Friday morning led me to Rex's house in Tuscaloosa, where I also met up with Jim (UP2CSX) and another modeler originally from my state. A 6-hour op session was punctuated by a Filet Mignon lunch, prepared by Rex's wife Carolyn, and man was it ever tasty! After leaving Rex's, Jim and I headed to Hoover to visit with Carey (CJcrescent) and view his Alabama Central layout with all hand-laid track[!] While we were there, William (L&Ncastle) stopped by. So I got to see several more ARG members that I missed during my 2008 visit here. A hearty thanks to all of you for that good ol' Southern hospitality! Definitely the high point of my trip.

At 6:00am Sunday morning we'll be heading back to Maryland, hoping the traffic won't be too bad on the interstates.

Rex and Jim- Sounds like a good time. Rex, cant wait to find out what that load is :D

Today we went to the parade and then back to my grandmothers for lunch and to just relax.

Tommorow ill be heading over to a local lake. Well be getting there at about 8:30, alittle late for fishing, but the fish over there are mildly stupid. I caught a pikerel once at 1:30 in the afternoon under high pressure conditions, temps around 95*, and right from shore . I dont know about pressure tommorow but itll be a real scorcher. Ill be bringing my kayak but i plan to get alot of fishing time in from shore before conditions get any worse and the fish head to deeper water. Theres alot of bass, crappies, trout and pickerel. Theres some wierd fish their too. I really hope i catch something tommorow.
